My Dream: I have a dream of opening up my own theater that would not only house my weekly Puppet shows but also other talented local artists that specialize in family entertainment. With the same above mission.
Story house Theater Story house theater is a place where families could come and consistently receive quality affordable live, entertainment that inspires the imagination and brings the community together to celebrate local artists talents.
It would house a variety of storytelling entertainment.
Puppet shows
Storytellers
Musicians
Dance
Story times
Play groups
Workshops and Classes
Story house Theater would be a venue for local talented artists to share their talents through their art in a place that supports and values their gifts that they bring to the community and Ignite and inspire audience members to do the same.
Story house theater would do its best to keep admissions low (under 5.00) and also have a fund for scholarship admission for those in need. This way we can both support the community by providing entertainment as well as support our artists with appropriate compensation.
WANTED-The Space: I am looking for a space that would accommodate a small multi-purpose stage and have an audience capacity between 75-100 people or so. No Permanent seating, Only folding chairs or benches or risers. This way it keeps the space flexible and open for workshops and artists flexible use of the space. Ideally this space would be centrally located in the Portland area and also plenty of stroller and handicap friendly parking. Room for storage and a office space if possible and of course restrooms. The more affordable the space the cheaper the admission could be. Do you want to be involved?
